Story Table with Mark Labberton — Pastor Tim Yee

Sharing my story of Juana in Mexico City with Mark Labberton and friends.

I had a great evening with Mark Labberton and friends at Fuller Seminary, sharing personal stories of experiencing hospitality in some way. Here I share about a new friend, Juana, who hosted me and two other men in her home. We experienced great cooking, live chickens and livestock sleeping next to us and wonderful conversations through our broken Spanish and her broken English. Most of all, we experienced God’s grace as we fellowshipped in the name of Jesus. You can read about the whole evening with Mark Labberton and guests here.

Pastor Tim Yee — Serve Day at St. Andrew’s in Newport Beach

Serve Day 2010, Newport Beach, CA. 1500 participants, dozens of projects, inspired by one Lord!

From 2008 to 2011 I had the privilege to be the Missions Pastor at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Newport Beach, CA. In 2010 I spearheaded a Serve Day that involved 1500 participants and dozens of projects: schools, beaches, retirement homes, and a home for pregnant women were all served in the name of Christ.

Earthquakes in your life? Pastor Tim Yee

We’ve been jolted by at least two large earthquakes July 4 and 5 that has rattled those in Southern California. I’m grateful that so far the damage has been limited but many more tremors are likely to come.

It’s providential that I wrote this devotion on Psalm 23 for Fuller’s Life for Leaders daily devotional the day before the earthquakes hit! While studying Psalm 23, I learned that the Good Shepherd is preparing us and journeying with us through the “earthquakes” and “flash floods” in our lives. Read and let me know what you think. https://lifeforleaders.depree.org/quiet-waters/
